TAP DANCING
Tap dancing classes begin with a warm up at either the barre or centre followed by basic tap steps emphasizing technique, speed, clarity of sounds, and rhythm. After the warm-up, students will then practice tap combinations. Students have fun learning while getting a great workout. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm tap and Broadway tap. Broadway tap focuses on dance; it is widely performed in musical theatre. Rhythm tap focuses on musicality and rhythms. We follow the CSTD tap dancing syllabus and the Tapatak Oz syllabus. We offer tap dancing from the age of 4 years through to adults.
